Nick Visconti grew up splitting his time between the
concrete of a city and snow on mountains. He was a hybrid of city and nature.
Nick fell in love with skateboarding at an early age, but with his back and
forth lifestyle between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe, he eventually found snowboarding;
a sport that combined skateboarding with his love for the mountains.
By the time he was 18, Nick was a sponsored, professional snowboarder.
For the next 10 years he travelled around the world seeking snow covered urban environments as well as vast mountain ranges for unique perspectives on snowboarding.
Saas-Fee Glacier, Switzlerland. 2012.
Nick was in a café at the top of the glacier enjoying a much-needed
break from snowboarding. His everyday life had become centered around the
mantra, “Snowboard, cappuccino. Snowboard, espresso. Snowboard, coffee.”
Nick admired the way European coffee culture and everyday
adventures went hand-in-hand in the outdoor lifestyle category. That day, Nick
decided he wanted to bring a form of the European coffee culture back home.
Nick’s love for the outdoor lifestyle also had to be the
focus of his coffee company.
DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF (DCDS) was born in 2018.
The coffee roasting company promotes getting outside and
fueling your adventures with a delicious cup of DCDS.
DCDS sources coffee beans from mountainous
regions all around the world and brings them to Truckee, California to be
roasted. The high altitude roasting process allows the coffee to reach
caramelization faster, which achieves 15% more sugar content in the coffee.
Translation? The coffee is sweeter.
His company aims to complete the outdoor lifestyle brand
with a specialty coffee which resonates with your lifestyle, habits, and
quality standards.
As the founder, Nick’s main goal is
to show he cares about his customers. Whether you are heading for a day on the
slopes or to the office, you can fuel up with DCDS.
Extraordinary coffee leads to an extraordinary life.
